What Are Boundary Lines?

A boundary is first created when a large piece of land is divided into smaller plots of land with different owners. Boundary lines are often used to clearly distinguish the different areas of land and who owns what. As a result, this prevents future disputes from occurring. However, over time the boundary lines can move, be moved, and altered. This causes much confusion with the landowners and makes it difficult to know where a boundary or right of way lays.

At Calvert Consulting, I offer my services to those that are struggling with a dispute over a boundary line or right of way. It has always been my aim to solve the problem and find the original boundary line position.

Similar confusion arises with rights of way, whether public or private. The owners of the right of way must know exactly where it runs to, whether traffic is allowed to use the path, whether there are time restrictions applied to usage, and also who is responsible for the maintenance of the area.
